I have always loved to draw and paint since childhood. Originally from South Wales, I attended Art College in Bristol to study Fashion and Textiles,  where I lived for 18 yrs before moving to London. I moved to St Ives in 2003 and began to explore techniques in oil, inspired by the stunning  surroundings.

I now live on a smallholding just outside St Ives which sits on the edge of the Penwith Moors, where we graze with llamas, geese and a crazy Border Collie. From the top of our land we can see the South, West and North coasts. The land consists mainly of gorse, heather, hawthorn, large granite boulders and is carpeted with bluebells then foxgloves in spring - a beautiful sight. When the mist and rain comes in from the sea it becomes an eerie moody landscape. This has an influence on my work but the coast and local scenes are also a big draw for me and are proving popular with my clients. The play of reflections on the water, the curve of the small boats in the harbour, the quirky buildings and the stunning colour of the sea around St Ives are an endless fascination for me. However, I am lucky to be able to retreat to a calm space just a short drive from St Ives when the town is in full tourist mode.

In 2013, I joined Back Road Artworks gallery where my work is on permanent display.
